Lascar Looks Forward to a Year of Innovation and Is Expanding Its Team

2019 looks set to be a really exciting year for Lascar. We have a whole new generation of data loggers coming through development and will continue our program of upgrades and enhancements to the EasyLog Cloud service. It’s also going to be a busy year for PanelPilot, our unique range of code-free smart displays. We’re going to roll out a series of upgrades to the Design Studio software, and there are also all-new hardware models to come – we’ll release more news about them later in the year. With so much going on we’re looking to expand our team across many departments.

At Lascar, we take great pride in having the in-house engineering expertise to take a product all the way from initial concepts to volume manufacture. This requires an engineering team with a diverse range of skills such as industrial design, electronic and mechanical design, software and embedded programming, to name but a few. While we have many experienced engineers in the business, we are also keen to help young people from across Salisbury, Romsey and Southampton start out in their engineering careers. For this reason, we have provided work experience placements to pupils from Brockenhurst College, and summer internships to students from Southampton University. Our current Engineering Manager came through our internship program and the Managing Director started out on a pre-graduation placement.

We realize that one of the toughest problems for fresh graduates is finding affordable accommodation, and so the company recently refurbished the 1930’s art deco Regal Cinema in Fordingbridge to include six self-contained apartments. These can be made available to staff on a subsidized basis.

To bring exciting products to the market takes a team effort, and aside from engineering roles Lascar also has opportunities in other areas of the business. The sales team at Whiteparish are looking for sales engineers, administrators and technical support staff. And at Old Sarum, in our UK distribution center, we need production staff, buyers and planners.

We understand that finding a new job can be a difficult process, and if you’re unsure whether you have the requisite skills then give our recruitment department a call and we can talk it through. We’re always happy to train staff in whom we see potential.

Lascar is looking forward to another year of fast-paced innovation, so if you’d like to join us and become part of the British high-tech sector, we welcome your application.
