The EL-GFX-VAC2 is a vaccine monitoring kit combining a USB dual channel data logger with two glycol bottle probes. The unit stores over 250,000 readings and has an on-screen display showing max, min and last log as well as an on-board graph of the data collected. Buttons allow the user to start, stop and restart the logger in the field and alarm breaches can be registered with both LED and audible alarms. The logger can be battery-powered or used with a USB wall adaptor. Two channels allow measurement of two areas of a refrigerator or a refrigerator and freezer at the same time.

This product meets and exceeds CDC standards for vaccine monitoring.

This is relevant for all users, but is especially important for medical, food and scientific applications, and where audit compliance needs to be demonstrated. We provide a number of standard calibration options suitable for common applications such as monitoring fridges, chilled goods and freezers, but can also provide customized calibration at whatever measurement points you need. The EL-GFX-VAC2 comes with a calibration certificate issued at 2 and 8°C.  It typically takes around 2 weeks (Lascar UK and Asia customers) or 3 weeks (Lascar US customers) to calibrate this product, please place your order today and our sales team will then confirm the exact delivery date.

Are the USB data loggers waterproof?

All of our data loggers have an IP rating on their datasheets. The IP rating is a two-digit code indicating the level of protection that is provided against solid objects and ingress of water as detailed below:

First Digit – Mechanical Protection

  1. Protected against solid objects over 50mm
  2. Protected against solid objects over 12mm
  3. Protected against solid objects over 2.5mm
  4. Protected against solid objects over 1mm
  5. Protected against harmful dust, limited ingress permitted
  6. Totally protected against dust

Second Digit – Water Ingress Protection

  1. Protected against vertically falling drops of water
  2. Protected against direct sprays of water up to 15° from the vertical
  3. Protected against direct sprays of water up to 60° from the vertical
  4. Protected against water splashed from all directions, limited ingress permitted
  5. Protected against low-pressure jets of water from all directions, limited ingress permitted

Why aren’t my batteries working?

If left unused for extended periods of time lithium metal batteries, including those used in the EasyLog range of data loggers, naturally form a non-conductive internal layer – a Passivation layer – preventing them from self-discharge and effectively increasing their shelf life. When first installed in the data logger, this may cause a momentary drop in the battery voltage (the Transient Minimum Voltage) as the internal layer is broken down, resulting in the data logger resetting. Inserting the batteries in the data logger and leaving it connected to a PC for about 30 seconds will remove this layer. After this, remove and re-install the batteries to reset the data logger. Overall battery life will not be affected.
