Case Study: Mount Vets
For over 60 years Mount Vets have been serving the needs of livestock farmers and pet owners in Somerset. Their veterinary hospital caters for everything from horses to poultry, offering a full 24 hour service. Operating such an adaptable facility requires a multitude of fridges, cupboards, storage areas, examination rooms and operating theatres. But monitoring and recording environmental conditions in all of them became a time consuming and costly process. An automated solution was needed to save money and also help with meeting the requirements of their Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) inspection, which happens every four years.
Mount Vets opted to use EL-WiFi-TP loggers for their fridges, which have a thermistor probe which can be placed inside the fridge, and the EL-MOTE series for monitoring their room temperatures, with a total of 38 data loggers being used. All of these loggers utilise their existing WiFi network to send their data to the EasyLog Cloud. This means all their critical temperatures, at all of their locations, can be monitored conveniently from one online control panel, and critical temperature alerts received via e-mail.
