1. Click the download link below.
2. When prompted about whether you wish to open or save the file choose 'Save'.
3. Select a location to save the zip file to and click 'Save'.
4. When the download is complete, right-click on the .zip file and choose 'Extract All'
5. This will open the 'Compressed (zipped) Folders Extraction Wizard'. Click 'Next' and then select a location to unzip the file to. Click 'Next' again to begin the extraction.
6. Click 'Finish' to close the wizard.
7. To begin installation, navigate to the folder where the download file was extracted to and double-click 'Setup.exe'. This will open the 'EasyLog USB Setup Wizard'.
HINT : A pdf titled 'EL-USB Installation and Operation Guide.pdf' is included with the download and gives more detailed instructions on navigating the 'EasyLog USB Setup Wizard'.
8. Before using your data logger with the software you must first install the Windows driver. To do this, insert your data logger (with battery installed) into a free USB port on your computer.
9. This will open the 'Found New Hardware Wizard'.
10. If asked if you wish to connect to 'Windows Update' choose 'No, not this time' and click 'Next'.
11. Choose 'Install from a list or a specific location (advanced)'.
12. Ensure 'Search for the best driver in these locations' is selected, put a 'tick' in the 'Select this location in the search' option and click 'Browse'.
13. Navigate to the location where the download file was extracted to and click 'Next'.
14. If prompted by a Microsoft warning screen click 'Continue Anyway'.
HINT : This is a feature of Windows XP. Selecting 'Continue Anyway' will not harm your computer in any way.
15. Click 'Finish'. You are now ready to begin using your Lascar EL-USB data logger.
